My coworker showed me a story about a baby Rhesus Macaque who wandered into an ikea store in Toronto, Canada. He was wearing a big coat and a diaper! It was so adorable, I HAD to draw it!!!

Drawing characters as they age

I like doing this exercise to help me understand how gravity acts on the body as we age.

Tired after work

BUT NOT TIRED ENOUGH TO SKIP OUT ON PAINTING! =)

Daily digital sketch

Stop Motion Set: Laboratory

I am collaborating on a short stop motion animation. Here are some progress pictures of the set design!
The clay figure is approximately the size of the main character, so we put him in the photo to show scale. He is about 10 inches tall. The set is 24 feet wide x 48 feet long.
Enjoy!

Star Wars Art

I entered two pieces into a Star Wars themed art show a few months back. I sculpted an Ewok out of Sculpey, I also used wood and cardboard to make a small tree hut!

As much as I draw and paint digitally, I really love sitting down and getting my hands on some clay and building materials!

Digital Sketchbook Dump

I bought myself a computer on black friday! In addition, I started using Sketchbook Pro for the first time, so I am still getting the hang of it! Here are a few sketches from today:

Step Brothers

I started this caricature sketch while watching the movie Step Brothers. They're such great characters!

Little Boxes

I've been watching this television show for the past few years. Every summer, my good friend and I get together to watch it. His birthday is coming up, so I decided to make him this illustration in honor of the season finale. ='(

All Work and No Play

I'm at work all the time. I have dreams that I'm working, I even greet random people on the street when I'm not working. So I figured I would draw myself at work!

Late Night Sketches

This was a quick warm up I did while watching a video of Kevin Smith giving film advice. A very entertaining/informative video!
A couple caricatures I came up with. I was working a lot with shapes on this one.

More shape-oriented characters. I started with gesture drawings, then picked out some interesting shapes to created these characters in black and white.
A more serious, dark sketch. I normally don't do anything like this, but I thought it would be interesting to sketch a piece about a troubled young man.
